Connecting Claude

You will need a Formule account. The connection runs as you, so whatever you can see in the app is what Claude will be able to see — no more.

Claude.ai

1. Open Settings → Connectors in Claude.

2. Choose to add a custom connector and give it the Formule server address:

   https://mcp.formule.io

3. Claude sends you to Formule to approve the connection. Sign in as yourself if you are not already.

4. Approve it. You are returned to Claude with the connector live.

5. Ask something that proves it works:

   Who am I in Formule?

   You should get your own name, your role and your agency back.

Claude Desktop

1. Open Settings → Connectors.

2. Add a custom connector pointing at:

   https://mcp.formule.io

3. Approve the connection in the browser window that opens.

4. Back in Claude, confirm with “Who am I in Formule?”.

MCP Inspector

For development:

npx @modelcontextprotocol/inspector

Point it at https://mcp.formule.io and use the OAuth flow. The Inspector is the fastest way to see the raw tool list, the exact schemas, and what a call returns.

Claude Code is not supported yet

Claude Code redirects to a loopback address on a port that changes each run, and the authorization server matches redirect URIs exactly. It will be added once that flow works end to end. Use Claude.ai or Claude Desktop for now.

Which of my leads match the new Msida duplex?

Set Adrian Gauci to Appointment and remind me to call Friday morning.

How is my pipeline doing compared with last month?

If it will not connect

The approval screen never appears. Check you are signed into Formule in the same browser, and that popups are allowed.

You get 401s after approving. The token expired or was issued to a client that is not permitted. Remove the connector and add it again.

Claude sees no tools. Confirm the address is exactly https://mcp.formule.io, with no trailing path.

A tool returns nothing where the app shows data. That is usually correct behaviour, not a bug — the tool runs as you. As an agent, you will not find another agent’s leads.

Disconnecting

Remove the connector in Claude. To also break the link on Formule’s side, sign out of the sessions you no longer want from the app.
