Roles and what each one sees
Almost every “why can’t I see that?” question in Formule has the same answer: your role. Formule never shows you data and then refuses the action — if you cannot do something, you usually cannot see it either.
The four roles you will meet
Section titled “The four roles you will meet”| Role | Shown in your profile as | Sees | Can do |
|---|---|---|---|
| Agent | Agent | Their own leads. All of the agency’s listings. | Work their leads, create listings, edit their own profile. |
| Branch manager | Branch Manager | Every lead and listing in the agency. | Everything an agent can, plus assign leads, approve agents, delete leads, and open Office Performance. |
| Super admin | Super Admin | Every agency on the platform. | Formule staff only. Platform settings and feature flags. |
| User | User | Depends on what they have been given. | A member of the agency without an agent record yet. |
Two more roles exist for specific jobs:
- Advertiser — works campaigns across agencies. Sees Campaigns, Listings and Agents; cannot open the leads workspace.
- Finance admin — sees only the agent roster and advertising budgets.
What that means day to day
Section titled “What that means day to day”If you are an agent
Section titled “If you are an agent”- You see leads assigned to you, plus anything still unassigned that your manager has put in front of you.
- You cannot see another agent’s leads. This is not a display filter; the data is not sent to your browser.
- You can create and edit listings. New listings are assigned to you automatically.
- You cannot delete a lead. Ask your manager.
If you are a branch manager
Section titled “If you are a branch manager”- You see everything in your agency, and you are the only one who can assign a lead to somebody else.
- You get Office Performance — reporting on the whole team. It is not in the menu; you reach it from your profile.
- You can approve or decline agents who apply through your join link.
Two exceptions worth knowing
Section titled “Two exceptions worth knowing”Private leads
Section titled “Private leads”An agent can be given a private lead area. Leads marked private are invisible to branch managers and to every other agent, and they are left out of campaign counts. If your agency uses this, an agent’s dashboard grows an extra Private Leads section.
Hidden leads
Section titled “Hidden leads”Anyone can hide a lead from their own view — a time-waster, a duplicate. Hiding is personal: the lead stays visible to managers. Agents can switch on a Hidden Leads dashboard from their profile to get them back.
Changing somebody’s role
Section titled “Changing somebody’s role”Roles are set by Formule, not from inside the app. Ask your Formule contact. What a manager can do without help is approve agents, assign leads, and turn an agent’s private-leads area on or off.
